Business Knowledge for Occupational Psychologists & HR Managers

Introduction

When we first join or consult to an organization, we have to learn very rapidly

  • What they do
  • Who they do it for, and
  • How they are organized.

As importantly, we have to understand very quickly why they have made the choices they have.

  • Why are they in the business they are in?
  • Who are their competitors?
  • What challenges do they expect to meet in the next five years?
  • How does your service contribute to their success in these specific circumstances?

Very often our informants and colleagues are not too clear about these issues themselves. This course helps you

  • Generate questions
  • Organize the answers and
  • Develop simple models that show the shape your service should take to serve your client's specific business needs.
